Invest in a Just Future
Join the Movement to Build the National Equitable Communities Network
At Our Streets, we’re leading a bold effort to transform how infrastructure is designed, funded, and led — putting communities at the center and creating systems that truly serve people.
We’ve launched a time-bound, four-phase plan to establish a National Equitable Communities Network, rooted in our success in Minnesota and scaled to cities and states across the country. This work is guided by our 12 Equitable Development Goals, which center racial, economic, and climate justice — and which are already being piloted through campaigns like Bring Back 6th and the Minnesota Communities Over Highways Coalition.

Our ask is simple, ambitious, and urgent:
We’re seeking one-time, up-front contributions of up to $10 million from visionary funders who want to shape this movement at the ground floor. Every contribution brings us closer to our $100 million Year One goal, establishing the infrastructure and operating support we need to:
- Reconnect and revitalize neighborhoods harmed by unjust transportation systems
- Shift infrastructure policy and funding toward equity, sustainability, and repair
- Expand grassroots leadership and decision-making power across communities
- Scale a proven, replicable model of people-first development across the country
Your investment will be managed through a flexible general operating fund with Thrivent Charitable, ensuring transparency, long-term stability, and deep accountability to the communities leading this work.
Why Thrivant Charitable?
We chose Thrivent Charitable for a reason: they help visionary organizations like ours turn ambition into durable, long-term impact.
- Georgia: A nonprofit moved cash from low-yield CDs to long-term investments with Thrivent’s guidance. Their endowment has now grown 10x.
- New Mexico: A donor gifted real estate; Thrivent helped liquidate the asset and fund the endowment. This inspired others to do the same.
- Virginia: With Thrivent’s support, a planned giving campaign yielded a pipeline of legacy gifts and a surge in non-cash donations.
Our fund will benefit from the same expertise — creating growth, flexibility, and resilience for decades to come. This is your invitation to not just fund a program — but to co-create a national movement that will shape the next century of infrastructure and community development.
