A hand-drawn doodle depicting a simple map of the Saint Paul metro outlined by the Mississippi River and the I-94 corridor. A cloud is drawn around the area surrounding I-94. Near the cloud, two masc people with brown skin appear to have a conversation, a mother and child in hijab stand along the highway, and a young child with straight black hair and light skin draws with a purple crayon. In the doodle is also a fish, a brown owl, a green frog, and a tree with yellow and green leaves. The area of saint paul is filled in with many different colored pencils.

94 Stories Project

October 16 @ 12:00 pm 3:00 pm

Join the 94 Stories project! We are collecting oral histories at Zion Community Commons during community meals. Have a story to share? Show up and sign up for a 15-30 minute slot with our public historian.

94 Stories is a creative oral history project that seeks to empower communities by gathering stories and sharing community archive resources and techniques. The project will add more community voices to Twin Cities archives for current and future research and advocacy use. We are asking residents, “How has I-94 and the urban landscape impacted humans and other creatures in Saint Paul?”

Community members who have connections to the following neighborhoods are invited to join us and share their story: Frogtown, Rondo, Union Park, Hamline-Midway, Saint Anthony Park, Summit-University and Downtown Saint Paul.
